The Special Service Area (SSA) #29 Commission is
committed to the revitalization and
beautification of West Town
The Special Service Area (SSA) #29 Commission will soon be requesting original and well-designed art proposals for murals to beautify the streetscape of Chicago Avenue within the boundaries of SSA #29.
The subjects are to celebrate and express both past and present history of the neighborhoods within the SSA #29 district.
Mural Project Phase II: Concrete walls located at Viaduct, 800 N. Lessing. Six lead artists will be selected to work on separate sections, average sized space 12' h x 24'w, on unifying subject matter: “Scenes of Chicago Avenue.” All exterior paint will be provided.
Selected artists (teams) will receive $1,000 stipend upon completion of work.
